Making Conservation a California Way of Life

On July 3, 2024, the California State Water Resources Control Board unanimously adopted the Making Conservation a California Way of Life regulation, along with a resolution and change sheet. This complex new regulation addresses indoor water use, outdoor water use, and utility water loss. It is expected to be finalized by October 2024 and will take effect January 1, 2025. TDPUD staff continues to evaluate the impacts of this regulation on our community, and will work with our customers to help everyone comply. Stay tuned for more information from TDPUD in late summer and fall on how this regulation will impact our community.
