PrePay is a “pay-as-you-go” prepaid service that allows you to pay for electricity and water how and when you choose. You set the payment plan that works for you and the amounts that fit your budget. Plus, with no security deposits, PrePay can give you great peace of mind that you are in more control of your monthly budget.

Make payments when you want at our office, by phone, online or mobile app. You can monitor your daily usage, set up notifications and pay your bill all in one convenient location.

How do I sign up for Prepay
If you are interested in signing up for PrePay, contact Customer Service at (530) 587-3896 and request to enroll in the program.

Are there any late or reconnection fees? 
There are no late, collection or reconnection fees with PrePay. If you have been disconnected, simply make a payment, leaving you with at least $25 in your account, and your power will be reconnected quickly.

How do I know if PrePay is right for me?
If it is easier to make daily or weekly payments, rather than one larger monthly payment, PrePay may be right for you.

Statistics also show that "pay-as-you-go" electricity and water programs often help lower consumption due to customer's awareness of usage patterns. So, if you're interested in monitoring and lowering your electricity and water use, you may potentially benefit from PrePay.

What if my account balance runs low?
First, you'll receive a low balance alert by text, email or via our mobile app. This will give you time to purchase more electricity and water.

If your account balance falls below zero, your service will be subject to disconnection at any time. However, purchasing more electricity and water is easy, reconnection can be almost immediate, and there are no late, disconnect, or reconnect fees. You can pay 24 hours a day by phone and online, or make a payment at our office.

Do I get a monthly bill?
No. Instead of receiving a traditional paper bill once a month, usage is calculated on a daily basis and you purchase electricity and water as you need it.
