The General Manager of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District and his immediate staff are responsible to the Board of Directors for administration of all District affairs including; budget, organization, operations, procedures, controls, and all matters pertaining to staffing.

Brian C. Wright, General Manager – Has nearly 30 years of experience in water operations and administration. Directs and oversees the Executive Team as General Manager as well as the Water Utility for TDPUD. Reports directly to the Board of Directors.
Jared Carpenter, Electric Utility Director - Over 20 years of experience in Electric operations and administration. Directs and oversees the Electric Utility and serves as Power Supply Engineer for the procurement of energy resources.
Chad Reed, Water Utility Director - Chad Reed is a 15-year veteran of the water industry, having spent the last 15 years serving as the General Manager of the Quartz Hill Water District in Lancaster, CA. A Southern California native, Chad received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Geology from California University - Bakersfield and his Masters of Science in Hydrology and Watershed Management from the University of Arizona.
Steven Poncelet, PIO Strategic Affairs Director – Over 30 years of professional experience with utilities from private to public. Responsible for the legislative and regulatory affairs of the District while creating optimum community engagement.
Michael Salmon, Chief Financial Officer - Mike obtained a bachelor of science degree in both accounting and finance from Florida State University. With his CPA certification, Mike’s public accounting experience (PWC) included utility and hospitality clients. Mike has worked professionally in the finance and accounting field for over 30 years and joined the District in 2020.
Scott Crow, IT Director/CIO- Over 25 years of public enterprise level experience in Information Technology. In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. Scott also holds a master’s degree in Information Systems and a master’s degree in Computer Science. Directs and oversees the strategic operations of Information Technology for the district.
