Home MenuEqual Payment Plan
Budget Billing is provided through the TDPUD as our Equal Payment Plan (EPP). This is a great program if you are on a fixed income or you frequently travel. EPP is not a way to save money and you should still monitor your usage. This program helps make your payments more even, but in the amount you pay will not be the same each month.
Calculation of the Equal Payment Plan- the amount you owe is recalculated every month based on the last eleven (11) months' of usage plus the amount of usage in the current month. Customers still pay for all the energy they use during the plan year.
The difference between the actual billing and the average payment under the EPP plan will be carried in a deferred balance that will accumulate both debit and credit differences for the duration of the EPP plan. The balance will be shown separately on the customer's monthly bill.
Participation requirements:
- You must be current on your bill before joining the program. Current status of the account shall mean the current billing should not be past due, there shall be no unpaid balance existing on the account, and the previous credit history of the applicant for the Equal Payment Plan is satisfactory to the TDPUD.
- You must have 12 months of billing history at your current service location.
- You must pay ONLY the EPP amount each month. Your bill will show your actual usage charges.
- If you make a payment other than the EPP amount you will be removed from the program.
To Enroll in the EPP program, login by clicking on "My Account" at the top right of the screen and then select Equal Payment Plan from the Billing & Payments menu.
For added convenience, sign up for automatic payments and paperless billing.
