10/2, 2pm: TDPUD is monitoring the Bull Fire and its potential impact to our power service. While the fire is not currently threatening Truckee, it has the potential to threaten the NV Energy transmission lines that deliver power to our distribution system from Verdi. NV Energy has indicated that a system-wide, emergency de-energization outage is possible for TDPUD’s territory around 3pm. We recommend customers take precautions now to charge devices and prepare for the possibility of an outage. We will update when we have more information. M. TDPUD está monitoreando el incendio Bull y su posible impacto en nuestro servicio eléctrico. Aunque actualmente el incendio no representa una amenaza para Truckee, existe la posibilidad de que afecte las líneas de transmisión de NV Energy que suministran energía a nuestro sistema de distribución desde Verdi. NV Energy ha indicado que es posible que ocurra una desconexión de emergencia en todo el sistema dentro del territorio de TDPUD aproximadamente a las 3:00 p.m. Recomendamos a los clientes tomar precauciones desde ahora, cargar sus dispositivos y prepararse ante la posibilidad de un corte de energía.
