Truckee Donner PUD Board Action Item – Wednesday, April 4
Carbon Free Power Project using Small Modular Nuclear Reactors
Truckee, Calif. (March 28, 2018) – Please join Truckee Donner PUD’s board of directors for a discussion of the Carbon Free Power Project (CFPP) & Small Modular Nuclear Reactors (SMR’s). This Action Item, consideration of a Power Sales Contract with the Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems (UAMPS) for the CFPP, would preserve the TDPUD’s option to participate in the project. This item will be held during TDPUD’s regularly scheduled board meeting which will take place Wednesday, April 4 starting at 6 p.m., at 11570 Donner Pass Road.
The Truckee Donner PUD has been investigating the potential of SMR’s since 2015 and has earlier this year held a series of workshops on this topic in February and March. This upcoming board item is an opportunity for community members to continue to learn about the Carbon Free Power Project and provide input. The public is encouraged to attend and participate.
